We are excited to announce the newest fresh market in Bloomington, BB’s Market – Butchers | Bakers. Formerly known as Wagon Wheel Custom Meats which was a stable for locals to get the best custom meats in Southern Indiana. Wagon Wheel was opened in 2015 by locals Jack Craig and Jim Wells who carried a very large variety of beef, pork, chicken, and deli meats plus made-in-house deli side dishes and salads. The Wagon Wheel brand was originally started in the early 1980s in a small Northern California town before expanding its high-quality recipes and spices to Bloomington, Indiana because of a need for an old-fashioned butcher shop. Wagon Wheel Custom Meats operated under its brand name until the fall of 2021 before being rebranded to BB’s Market.
BB’s Market decided to take over the location at 1915 S. Walnut St. so it could continue providing local Bloomington and surrounding area residents with the same high-quality meat products but with even more fresh market products. BB’s Market which stands for butchers – bakers was inspired by a growing trend of American shoppers wanting a more personalized and intimate shopping experience. The market concentration is to source all local fresh produce, provide high-quality in-store-made products in the bakery and deli, and offer only the highest quality meats.
BB’s Market is a fully operational fresh marketplace for people to purchase their meats, deli sides, fresh produce, baked goods, and locally sourced products in one place. So no more bouncing from farmers’ markets to the farmer’s markets or needing to shop at the large warehouse-style supermarkets to source your grocery items.
